I finally saw “that thing” in action. But it wasn’t until it was on the show This WEEK in MEDIA that I had any contact time with it. I played the part of curmudgeon and came away partially convinced that “that thing” is in fact pretty cool. We stuck it in the after show because pretty much everyone is sick of hearing about it. However, the spin on the show was from media development so it’s on topic for the audience.
“That thing” discussion starts at 49:08 if you want to skip over the blah, blah, blah about the Fairness Doctrine, NYC filmmakers needing a million dollar liability policy to shoot, how people really do watch ads on their DVRs and how to really watch the Sicko movie. Cool stuff.
