I don’t think that I would ever give them so much credit as to call them “geniuses”. Mostly because if you said “hey, who’s the marketing genius that came up with that idea?!” They would take it as a compliment instead of a sarcasm full jab. If they were truly genius level people, they’d see how everyone was offended by the placement and the tone of their ads and they would have done something else.
“Psychic” more correctly describes the marketing process….
